satisfaction in the community." This is our mission at Developmental
Services of Northwest Kansas. We hope that you will find it in your
heart to contribute to DSNWK and help us as we continue our mission
of serving people with developmental disabilities. Your support is
vital to our success and the success of the people we serve.
There are many ways that your deductible contribution can help.
Feel free to write in the memo line on your check to restrict your
contribution to a specific location, program or fund. Listed below
are some of the funds that DSNWK has established with a brief
description. If you do not want to restrict your contribution, just
write "Project Rose" and your money will go into our general fund or
write "Area of Greatest Need" and we will place your contribution in
the fund that has the greatest need for your contribution.
The Medical Fund - assists individuals in paying for medical needs
that are not covered by Medicaid, such as some dental work and eye
glasses.
The Personal Needs Fund - assists individuals with the cost associated
with moving into their own apartment or purchasing a winter coat.
Children's Special Needs Fund - assists families with limited
resources who need help paying equipment and other needs associated
with their child's disability.
Burial Fund - This fund is designated for individuals who have no family
or money set aside for the planning and costs associated with their
own death.
You can also honor the memory of a loved one through a memorial
gift. We are always pleased to receive these gifts and preserve the
memory of friends and family members. If a memorial gift is what you
would like to do, just write "Memorial" in the memo line along with
the individuals name. Any memorial contribution can also be
restricted to benefit a specific fund, program or location.
Regardless of where the money is designated, DSNWK will always send
acknowledgements to all donors and notify family members of gifts
received.
