Unified Softball Expands to Include Adults
Following in the footsteps of DSNWK’s successful Unified Softball, a new round of games has been created to benefit adults with disabilities. “We heard from many of the adults served by DSNWK that they would like to participate in Unified Softball. We decided to pull together a special season just for them,” stated Thea Boeckner, coordinator of the event.
A total of four teams will participate including; DSNWK’s Employment Connections and Creative Living programs, as well as teams from New Age Services and Central Plains ARC. The games will be played on Sunday evenings beginning at 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. They will take place on the following dates: August 30, September 6, September 13, September 20, September 27 and October 4. All games will be held at the Dusty Glassman Fields in Hays.
