CFL

The unique College for Living Program at DSNWK allows persons with disabilities in the CDDO area the opportunity to further their learning. The College for Living allows each person a choice of classes in an adult setting, with enrollment and semesters resembling a university. Through the planning of the semester and course work, everyone can work to meet their personal goals.

Classes are not limited to DSNWK developmental centers. A means of integrating the College for Living Program into the community is to offer curriculum taught by community members.

These College for Living classes are located throughout the area, in local businesses, libraries and other community service locations. Persons enrolled in the College for Living program are required to participate in three classes: Self Advocacy, Health and Safety, and Sexual Abuse Prevention.
